3X FLAG peptide TFA is a synthetic polypeptide containing three repeats of the Asp-Tyr-Lys-Xaa-Xaa-Asp motif.3×Flag repeat peptides have been widely used to purify Flag fusion proteins and competitively bind Anti-Flag monoclonal antibodies.3× The FLAG tag system greatly improves the detection ability of FLAG tags. The triple tandem FLAG epitope is hydrophilic, a long chain of 22 amino acids, and it can detect up to 10 fmol of fusion proteins. Crystals have been obtained for the maltodextrin-binding protein of FLAG-tagged Pyrococcus furiosus, and crystal results show that the FLAG tag has little effect on protein crystal quality.
